28 Weeks!

Wahoo.  I think, I'd like to have only ten weeks left.  Doesn't that sound nice, not unrealistic, and let's face it, I'll be "pushing" on Labor Day.  Ha.  Actually, Labor Day isn't even a full two weeks early.  Totally hopeful.  Going to be a hot last two months!  I can't believe it's almost July.  July, August, SEPTEMBER.  Yikes.  Maybe, just maybe I should start thinking about things.  I'll prepare the day before Labor Day but for now, I should start thinking about things.  :)  Talk about procrastination.

Looking at Jude's blog entry.  At 28 weeks last time, things were very different!  I just started my fall class on Mondays at Umsl, weed whacked for the first time, learned I passed Missouri's Counselor test, planted Mums in my window boxes, peed on myself for the first time, spoke of painting shutters, and mentioned that I could NOT identify with people who "experience heartburn" at this time during pregnancy.

WOW.  Hmm now that I read that, maybe it really is a GIRL.  I mean check this out...I have FINISHED all classes at Umsl, weed whack with my new cord-less device (and am quite the pro now), have putunias overflowing my window boxes, have NOT peed on myself (unless you count a tinkle with every sneeze, but I don't :), STILL speak of painting shutters, and HOLY MOLY can I now identify with people who "experience heartburn" at this time during pregnancy.  Yes, most of these are completely UNRELATED to pregnancy or gender but hey, I'm pregnant, let it slide this once.  So there ya go.  And...that was in August.  Crazy to see the similarities (cough shutters) and major differences (heartburn).  I guess I'd say my lack of energy is the same also. Oh and I'll admit, Uma is no longer my best friend like she was then...:(

Heartburn. Warning: I talk about PUKE!  This word is too ... hmmm... gentle? Easy going?  Meaningless.  I have renamed heartburn FIREVOMIT.  What does this mean?  A lot of people ask me.  Well, to put it simply, I could eat an entire things of Tums and still feel awful.  I don't, I limit it to the maximum intact per day, but nothing can prevent the way I feel after eating.  Can I pinpoint certain foods.  Sure, anything and everything you name it.  Popcorn, bread, chocolate, candy, pizza, anything I eat.  I am working a system now that seems to be okay but yikes.  If this keeps up, I will have to stop giving Jude a bath due to the bending over to clean him!  Ha. I call it "firevomit" because I literally throw up, what feels like "fire or a great burning sensation" in my mouth....Yep.  Disgusting right? This child, mark my word, place your bets, will come out COVERED in hair!!!  My doctor did say it is related.  I'll be interested to see if I can braid some black hair!

Here ya go: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/20/health/20really.html?_r=1  Article on HB.

I had heartburn with Jude, but not to this extent, it did not prevent me from actually eating foods, and did not show up at 25 weeks!  This kid has 12 weeks to grow hair.  YIKES. Maybe it will have tons, not lose it all and not look like an old, aging man?

27 Weeks

Fetus movement...27 Weeks

Could this be? Is this truly correct? 2-7, twenty seven, 27 weeks....If I'm not mistaken, we're on the home stretch....The LAST trimester!!!!!!! FINALLY.  I mean I don't want to rush this, after all, this will be the last child, but it sure is nice to think it can't get any worse, I mean more enjoyable!  Looking so forward to cuddling with a sweet, tiny baby.  So ready!!!  The bigger I get, the more I can't wait.  I guess that makes sense.  I won't even tell you how I feel, well overall NOT bad, but I am convinced it's an evil girl.  Thus will be our last :)

I was cutting the grass today thinking "Man, I can't believe it's already this dead and it's only mid June."  There may not be that many more grass cutting days....:(

Jude and I have kept very busy with our summer.  I really want to cherish the time alone with him because let's face it, come September we'll be adding another to the clan and it's sad to think of less Jude time.  I think he'll adjust just fine, but why not spend every second making him smile all summer long!  We've been getting together with Eli having dance parties, playing cars, and teaching him everything.  I don't know what happened, but within the last week, everything really seemed to "click" with him!  He knows a handful of letters (maybe 5-those are hard), he can identify every pool table ball color (and often will bring me something and correctly identify the color!), and can identify his shapes!  I'm so proud!!  He also mimics about every word I say.  Today he said "Joe!" and my favorite is "big rig" from a truck book.  He cracks us up daily!  He's so sweet.  We meet the Reardon gang at the park in the AM he would say "Joe!" then point and to his best ability say "swing"...he wanted Joey to swing next to him.  So sweet.  Okay, maybe I can only understand him but man, he knows soo much more just this last week.  I hope No 2 can be as cute otherwise, we all know who John and I will favor ;)

26 weeks.

No 2 hates me, and sometimes...I dislike it.  I thought it was a phase or "rough" week but I think 3rd trimester "symptoms" have struck WAY earlier than the 3rd tri....

I can't sleep, literally pee at least every 2 hours (or attempt to), can't bend over without fire vomit.  And when I say fire vomit, I actually mean it like FIRE VOMIT.  Holy cow, if this is a girl, I will be able to braid her hair once she pops out :)  No joke.  I'm getting more sensitive to food hourly....sometimes just the smell of it fills me up!  I have no craving other than to NOT go out to eat b/c the "friedness" makes me nervous.  Ugh, No 2.

On a positive note, Jude looks for baby daily, he also pushes my outtie back in, I'm getting rounder, we go back to the doc next Friday, I have felt the hiccups multiples times (as has my mom), I can identify the head, feel baby constantly, and we're working out a schedule to get on the same sleep patterns ;)

This is how I feel the best.  Floating in water, laying flat, with a hint of pure sunshine...

25w1d All About No 2

Well I swear No 2 is giant sized.  I do not recall feeling the amount of movements I do now as I did with Jude...especially at 25 weeks.  Or maybe I do just "know this time around"??  Who knows, regardless, I can't even drive the car without it rolling making me uncomfortable!  Ha.  Crazy thing doesn't sleep either.  No 2 = major trouble.  Evil. Girl.  (or boy).  I can think about it, which is constantly, and it'll move.  No joke :) You want to feel it, just ask me, it rarely naps.  Hope this isn't what's to come! AHH.

Debbie got me in for quick hearing of heartbeat last night and had a fabulous hand-held u/s device.  It was priceless.  We saw babies face, mouth open, nose, eyes, spine, heart, hand moving multiple times, etc.  I'm pretty sure we saw it chewing on fingers.  If we knew what we were looking at, we may have even seen gender about 30 times but....it may have took us about 30 minutes to figure things out :)  But what I saw was just awesome!  Love No 2 and it's crazy habits.  We could not identify legs or feet.  :(  But that's okay!  Hopefully in 13 weeks, well be able to!

Okay well not entirely about No 2...here's my friend ET.

Here's No 2.  On top it's moving hand to face/mouth.  Body below.  Sorta hard to tell but this is best video I got.
Ahh No 2.  Was on monitor for maybe 30 minutes...Heartbeat varied from 130-160 with it mainly sitting at 150s.  Also note No 2 freaking out a few times right by blue of the belt.
